You do NOT want to miss this Glass Slipper benefit. The Glass Slipper is a Make-A-Wish fund-raising event that our team is working on non-stop to make the coolest open-to-the-public event in Redding.
Meet the team… Chris and Jessica Hanna, Allison Elliott and Melissa Bechtel
Music for this black-tie evening will be provided by Don Burton of K-Shasta 104.3. There will be a high-energy, knock-your-socks-off runway show featuring eight local clothing boutiques and 21 models. We also have the Men’s Wearhouse on board so we have three male models who will be showing the Wearhouse’s latest formalwear. Tickets for this event include appetizers, champagne, and soft drinks And, if you want something special, there will be a full bar available. Tickets are pre-sale only, and the Men’s Wearhouse is offering a special offer on tuxedo rentals for any Glass Slipper ticket holder.
We’ll be handing over every penny of the proceeds from this fundraiser to our local Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation spends 80% of all donations on granting wishes. This is how every 40 minutes the Make-A-Wish Foundation is able to grant wishes to children (2 1/2 to 18 years) who have life threatening medical conditions. The average cost of each wish is $6,200.00, so we’re hoping to at least reach that goal. To this end, we’ve kept the ticket prices down to get as much participation as possible, we’ve got a venue that will handle lots and lots of people, there will be a great silent auction, and there are a lot of individuals and local businesses helping out with food, drink, silent auction donations, furnishings, clothing, decorations, food and drinks, and wait staff.
