Seriously precious!

Adreanna from Happy Valley California was our very cute little model for the Mt. Shasta Mall ad gig.  We just had to share a few of these absolutely gorgeous images we captured.

Talk about cute!

Here’s Adrianna in a little wind storm.   Adreanna, you’re a doll!

Big Shot

A little more of our commercial work… :) (Photography only)

A special thanks to Alec Asbe and Adreanna Taylor (models), Melissa Otis (Fashion Stylist), Lisa Hoeft of Wavelengths (Hair Stylist), and of course Matt Briner of Inhouse Marketing/Enjoy who created such a beautiful ad!

It’s very cool to see your work displayed in the public!  See Santa’s court in the Mt. Shasta Mall…

MMALL_NOV09_FINAL

We had a super time photographing for a recent Mt. Shasta Mall advertising campaign.  Thanks to Melissa Otis (fashion stylist) for paring up the items provided by Macy’s, to Allison Elliot (make-up artist) for the great look, to Matt Briner of Inhouse Marketing/Enjoy Magazine for the photo merge and ad creation, and especially to Raina Pratt, our very beautiful model.  Wow, what a team!  Thank you all!  We can hardly wait to see the rest.

Russian River Tasting

So the four of us finally got away for a day day of wine tasting after way too long.  Here are Candace, Jessica, and Josh at the Martin Ray Winery in the Russian River Valley.  There are about 15 wineries with tasting rooms within a 10-mile radius of Candace and Josh’s house, so we didn’t have far to go (I’m jelous, but only kinda.  I’m not sure how I would handle such a splendid situation).  This place was a real find.  We walked out with a cab and a merlot.  I know, I know, you’re not allowed to like a straight merlot, but theres was very nice.

yes, those are screw-top closures there…

The Lynmar winery had wonderful grounds and the day couldn’t have been nicer.  Here we are checking out a set of four.  We thought their Chardonnay was the best.  This was the only stop of the day though, where they wouldn’t apply the tasting fee ($10) to a wine purchase unless it was at least $100.  My single bottle got expensive quick let me tell you.  But, we did taste from Reidel stemware which is the best.  We like best.

Ah yes, the Balletto.  The best Pinot of the day.  Notice that we were working on an ‘06 here, which is not yet released for public sale.  And wow.  It does indeed help to have connections.  Thanks, josh!

Candace and Josh of the Capozzi winery, and the Pinot blogger.

And your’s truely and wife early in the day and seeing straight.

And… we’re back!

Dear friends,

After the longest hiatus in the history of our blog, we’re  back!

We’ve moved completely out of our studio gallery, learned that we’re not cut out to be art gallery owners, and can now direct all of our attention towards photography once again.

We did learn along the way that we love studio work, so at the moment we’re looking for a new studio location, although smaller than the last one (we definitely don’t need 2850 SF).

At any rate, we’ll be back to blogging about what we hope is interesting stuff in no time.  In fact, as we’re writing this, we’re on our way down to Santa Rosa to wine taste the Russian River AVA.  And yes, we did bring a camera.

We’ll keep you posted.

We’re happy to be back, so stay in touch!

This month, October 2009, photographer Samuel Verbi has once again hit the Redding Art Hop and has contributed to our ArtHop photography page.  Thank you Samuel once again!

Samuel will be heading up the Art Hop blog from this point forward and when needed, Amy Jensen of Amy Jensen Photography will be filling in.  You’ve all seen Amy’s coverage (two months ago)which is awesome as well.  To go directly to the Art Hop blog page, next month and from then on, just type in www.arthop.wordpress.com.  There, you’ll be able to access every single arthop past and present.

Anyway, here’s the October 2009 Arthop by Samuel Verbi:

Tapas featured artist John Stewart

Almost as though several artists contributed to this gallery. John’s fabulous work, was both high quality as well as being very original, giving a clear window to what is obviously a highly creative and fun mind!

Oct09AH-109

The Oregon Street Antique Mall featured artist Amanda Joy Smith

With meaning behind each individual object – this gallery really portrayed a story. By combining items from every day life she had created fascinating assemblages, a real sentimental style of art.

Oct09AH-117

NVCSS Second Home featured Michael Madden, Amanda Strain, and Cindy Wilborn

Three fantastic, and highly individual artists all in a newly opened room at the NVCSS. With Amanda and Cindy from Redding, and Michael originally from Seattle, the vibrant and original work reflected the characters who created them. I struggled to leave such a genuine fun atmosphere.

Oct09AH-124

Boardmart featured artists Dylan McGinn and Rustin Barth

Two very different and yet complementing exhibits. Dylans Graphic art – a clever use of adobe illustrator to capture Youtube stars, and Rustins guitar playing – with a well deserved overflowing tip jar – both creating an enjoyable gallery.

Oct09AH-125

Downtown Eatery featured artist Tammy Love

Tammy has created a real experience here. With the Edward Scissor Hand soundtrack playing in the background, her beautifully manipulated images are both highly stereotypical as well as wonderfully original.

Oct09AH-131

Artist Nowain Photography was featured at Crown Camera

Wedding photography here has become a real art form. Really creative ideas injected into what is usually a generic situation.

Oct09AH-133

Parmer’s Furniture and Design featured artist Aaron Patterson

Aaron’s images are visually stunning, exploring a realm of photographic image editing yet to be really explored. HDR.

Oct09AH-118

Hanna Gallery featured beautiful vocals by Stephanie Foos and music by Bernie

La-Z-Boy

What a way to advertise!

This guy was on the corner of Cypress and Athens in Redding just past a couple of construction barricades.  I was thinking at the time how no mater how quick his reaction time is, he wouldn’t be able to get out of the path of an errant vehicle.  He may have been having similar thoughts, because today he was out there sans chair doing his thing.  At any rate, I was glad Jessica had her i-phone handy when we saw this!  Yes, this is an i-phone shot so go easy on us here:)  Chris

It must be mostly a guy thing because Jessica didn’t hardly give a tinker’s dam about the heavy metal that was happening just outside our studio doors:

Ballerina Sami

What a great time we had the other day photographing Sami.  We hope she remembers us after she becomes a famous prima donna ballerina in the big city which is sure to happen.

Top 10!

Redding’s Enjoy magazine celebrated its third year this month, and we learned that one of the two cover photos that we’ve provided for Enjoy has made the top ten.  Just guess which one we think is the best one???

Gotcha Covered

Our December 2008 cover!
